About us

»Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.« (Col. 3:16)

Our singing of biblical texts to the tunes of Sagor cantus (Sagor is the oldest recorded name of the town of Zagorje ob Savi, while cantus means song in Latin, i.e. »the song of Zagorje«) was born out of the desire that the hearts of those who listen would react more and more in harmony with God's word becoming more and more open to the action of the Holy Spirit and finding »contentment and peace« (SgS 8:10b) even just by singing the chants of Sagor cantus.

Here are some ways you can get involved with Sagor cantus prayer group:

• Prayer evenings in the church of Saints Peter and Paul in Zagorje ob Savi, Slovenia or on the other location;
• We can organize a prayer evening in your parish (limited!);
• You are invited to sing our songs in your parish or group;
• By purchasing the album, you help spread of the Word of God and support new projects that are underway;
